Celebrating Somerset - Sumorsǣte ealle

Friday 22 February, 2019
10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Wells City Centre and Cathedral

The High Sheriff of Somerset and Bath Spa University proudly present ‘Celebrating Somerset – Sumorsǣte ealle’: a free family festival, followed by a concert performance, to celebrate all things Somerset.

‘Sumorsǣte ealle’ – Old English for ‘all the people of Somerset’ – sees all the families of Somerset invited to round off the half-term holiday with a free fun-packed morning of procession, creative workshops, performances, and interactive activities themed around our vibrant, diverse and beautiful county, steeped in history and tradition.

Originally the idea of Somerset’s High Sheriff, Denis Burn, a creative production team of staff and students from Bath Spa University has devised, designed, and delivered this event.
