Terence Jagger appointed new Chair of Board of Governors

Bath Spa University has a new Chair of its Board of Governors who was appointed in November. Terence Jagger CBE has had a long and illustrious career in both private and public sectors having worked for Shell, the Ministry of Defence and, most recently, as Chief Executive of international development company, Crown Agents.

He has previously served as a non-executive director or trustee in various organisations including the Met Office, the Gloucestershire and London Wildlife Trusts and the London Library. He is currently a trustee and non-executive director of the London Pension Funds Authority.

The Board of Governors of Bath Spa University is responsible for the educational character and mission of the University, and for ensuring that the University builds on its successes to date and achieves its strategic objectives.

Mr Jagger begins his tenure with immediate effect and replaces Jane Henderson who was Chair of the Board of Governors from November 2013.
