In Conversation: Djordje Ozbolt and Professor Anita Taylor
Thursday, 1 December, 2016Djordje Ozbolt discussed his intervention The Grand Detour at the Holburne with Anita Taylor, Professor of Fine Art and Dean of Bath School of Art and Design at Bath Spa University.
The evening explored the ideas behind The Grand Detour and how Ozbolt’s work converses with the past to reconsider the present through his ‘replies’ to specific works in the Holburne’s collection displayed within the Museum and its grounds.
Artist Djordje Ozbolt was born in Belgrade in 1967. He studied architecture at Belgrade University and moved to London in 1991, where he continued his studies in painting at the Royal Academy.
Professor Anita Taylor is Dean of Bath School of Art and Design at Bath Spa University, Artist, Director of Jerwood Drawing Prize and Drawing Projects UK. She is also an Adjunct Professor of the University of Sydney affiliated to Sydney College of the Arts.
