Students’ Union wins national award

Bath Spa University Students’ Union is celebrating being named ‘Students’ Union of the Year’ by the National Centre for Diversity. This prestigious prize is awarded annually to the Students’ Union deemed to have fairness, respect, equality, diversion and inclusion running throughout its work.
 
The Students’ Union has also been awarded the prestigious Leaders in Diversity accreditation and for the second year running was also named in the Top 100 organisations in the UK for promoting diversity and inclusion.
 
The National Centre for Diversity aims to advance fairness for all in the workplace by helping organisations to embed best Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) practices.  The Students’ Union has been working with the National Centre for Diversity to challenge itself to place diversity and inclusion at the centre of what they do.
 
Sarah Dawes, Chief Executive of the Students' Union said: “We are enormously proud to achieve this award as recognition of our commitment to ensuring that inclusivity and equalities are at the heart of the Students’ Union.”
