Bath Spa University website scoops five gold awards
Friday, 20 April, 2018Bath Spa University’s new website has won five gold awards from two international digital award organisations.
In the AVA Digital Awards 2018, an international competition that recognizes excellence by creative professionals responsible for the planning, concept, direction, design and production of digital communication, the Bath Spa website won gold in three categories; Educational Institution, Website Redesign, and Creativity - Web Design. Bath Spa is the only higher education institution in the UK to have won an AVA Digital Award this year.
In the Horizon Interactive Awards 2017, the Bath Spa website won two gold awards in the Websites - School/University and Websites - Responsive / Mobile Design categories. The competition, which receives thousands of entries from around the world every year, recognizes, promotes and awards the best websites, videos, online advertising, print media and mobile applications.
Rob Armstrong-Haworth, Director of Corporate and External Relations at Bath Spa University said: “The awards are a great honour and testament to the hard work of the Web and Digital team in delivering our new website project. We were fortunate to have a network of content contributors from across the University, and we extend our thanks to everyone who played a part in the new website.”
The University’s new website project was managed by PJ Livingstone, Head of Web and Digital at Bath Spa University, and her team comprising of Eve Betts, Digital Content Producer; Rosie Maynard, Web Content Coordinator and Josh Ryall, Web and Social Media Coordinator, along with external partners TerminalFour, The Roundhouse, Funnelback and TINT.
In addition to winning these five prestigious awards, the new Bath Spa website was also commended as an official honouree in the 22nd annual Webby Awards. The Awards are presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences and honour web excellence.
