Creative Writing graduate's debut novel published by Thistle Publishing

MA Creative Writing graduate Sarah Scholefield's debut novel, Redferne Lane, has been published by Thistle Publishing.
Sarah graduated from Bath Spa University in 2014 and is currently represented by the Andrew Lownie Literary Agency.
She said: "I was very excited when I heard my novel was going to be published. I've really enjoyed working with Thistle Publishing. I feel they are the right home for my novel.
"I was fortunate to secure a literary agent before graduating from Bath Spa. At the end of the MA Creative Writing course, an anthology of student work is produced and sent to literary agents and publishers. I submitted the opening chapter of Redferne Lane to the anthology, and my agent contacted me after reading it and offered to represent me. I accepted and he asked me to send him the completed novel once I had finished it."
Sarah, a former molecular biologist chose to study for an MA in Creative Writing at Bath Spa to develop her writing craft.
She added: "My MA gave me a platform to find an agent and get published. I really enjoyed meeting other writers and sharing our work with one another. It was a steep learning curve, but I learnt a lot about the art of writing which has helped me greatly."
