Julie Dean receives National Original Print Exhibition award

Monday, 24 September, 2018

MA Fine Art student Julie Dean has won the Contemporary Arts Trust Award of £1000, in the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers' National Original Print Exhibition.

Julie's large scale woodcut print 'Port of Liverpool from Salthouse Quay' was created in the print room of our Sion Hill campus, with the help of Print Technician Jane Shaw, and was selected for the exhibition, which is currently on show at the Bankside Gallery on London's South Bank.

Julie was then awarded with the Contemporary Arts Trust Award, for her "impressive, large size woodcut composition, from a young artist who will go on to create many more strong images".

A very well deserved accolade. Well done, Julie!
