Bath Business School named as finalist in Bath Life Awards

Tuesday, 5 February, 2019

Bath Business School, part of Bath Spa University, has been named as a finalist in the Education category of the 2019 Bath Life Awards.

The prestigious award, which is sponsored by creative work environment specialists, Spaces, recognises outstanding teaching establishments in the city. This is the second nomination for the Business School this academic year, following its shortlisting for Business School of the Year in the recent Times Higher Education Awards.

This latest nomination for the Newton Park campus-based Bath Business School follows a two-year period of transformation of its curriculum. A range of new courses and options have been launched, including entrepreneurship, and festivals and events. Students now complete authentic, real-life assessments to prepare them for work, including working on live festivals and events, pitching to industry professionals and working on HR management consultancy projects.

Dean of the Bath Business School, Professor Georgina Andrews, said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for a Bath Life Education Award. This would not have been possible without the amazing team of colleagues and fantastic students that make our Business School so unique and I would like to say a big well done to them.”

This year’s Bath Life Awards Education category shortlist includes Bath College, Bath Theatre School, Broadlands Academy, Dorothy Coleburn School of Dancing, Fun Science and Mayden Academy.

Winners will be announced at the ceremony which takes place at The Assembly Rooms on Thursday 28 February.
