"For my second year placement I travelled to New York City to study at The Stella Adler Studio of Acting on their ten-week summer conservatory. The conservatory was an intensive course so I was at the studio five days a week from 10am to 5pm with extra rehearsals on top of that.

As well as my creative writing it is my ambition to work as a professional actor when I leave university. Studying at Stella Adler was the first kind of professional acting training I have had and I would not have been able to do it if I did not have help from Bath Spa University. Travelling to New York opened my eyes to what life is like in a different city. Some days I am still mind-boggled by the sheer scale of this world we live in."

Bella Culver, BA (Hons) Creative Writing, 2017
