How to make the most of a Bath Spa Open Day

If you are thinking about visiting Bath Spa University on an undergraduate Open Day, take a look at our dates below and book your place!

Our next undergraduate Open Days take place on Saturday 8 June 2024.

Why should I attend a University Open Day?

With so many universities across the globe, it can be hard to decide which is the best fit for you. That’s where Open Days come in.

Attending one of our Open Days gives you the chance to explore what we have to offer and speak to members of our community.

Recent graduate Katie Wroe-Beacon told us that her path to choosing her degree wasn’t as straightforward as she’d have liked. It was attending one of our Open Days which helped her realise that Bath Spa was the place for her, where she could grow and develop during her studies.

With the wide range of activities available, it can be overwhelming to decide on what to check out on the day. We’ve put together a list of our top five Open Day activities to make the most of your day.

1. Find out about your course

During an Open Day you’ll have the chance to talk to staff and students who are part of the course you’re interested in studying. They’ll be able to answer any questions you have about the course.

Indigo Moon said she felt a sense of belonging at Bath Spa after visiting us at an Open Day. She told us she was inspired by the lecturers’ passion and enthusiasm for their craft when she spoke to them about studying creative writing.

2. Meet our students

Do you have questions about what life at Bath Spa is really like? Talk to our team of Student Ambassadors to find out what it’s like to be a part of Bath Spa’s close-knit community.

3. Find out about Bath Spa student life

Our Student Ambassadors will also be leading a number of campus tours to show you the state-of-the-art facilities available to our students.

While you’re in Bath, why not head to the city centre to see what Bath has to offer? Local resident Sophie told us about some of her favourite independent spots in the city.

4. Discover the support available to you

During the day there will be a series of talks that provide key information about accommodation, jobs, finance, wellbeing and fees.

You’ll also be able to talk to members of staff in services such as finance, accommodation and student wellbeing to ask them any specific questions you have about the support we provide to our students.

5. Explore our student accommodation

We offer a variety of accommodation options both on campus and closer to the city centre. Find out more about the options available to you and take a tour around our campus based halls of residence.

We hope that you consider attending an Open Day and look forward to seeing you soon!
