1000 days in... PhD student exhibitionTuesday 3 July, 2018 – Thursday 12 July, 2018
10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Sion Hill Gallery, Bath School of Art and Design, Sion Hill Campus, Bath, BA1 5SF
PhD students Lydia Halcrow and Melissa Mahon are marking the midpoint of their PhD studies with an exhibition in Sion Hill Gallery.
‘1000 Days in...' brings together recent work by both artists, and in doing so has revealed overlaps in their work. Rather than focusing specifically on the subject matter, the exhibition explores the artists' common ground as the process of their practice-based research.
Melissa questions ideas of real and unreal, and believing what you see, and is exhibiting photographic and installation work; Lydia's paintings, drawings and prints record her walks in a place, mapping its surface and observing its processes, histories and visual motifs.
The exhibition is open from 3 to 12 July (10am to 5pm daily).
