Our Digital Marketing Bootcamp provides supported employment pathways into digital marketing and business development jobs.
In just 12 weeks you’ll be provided with the necessary skills to gain employment in marketing and business development roles. You'll cover:
- Introduction to marketing
- Campaign planning
- Websites and search engine optimisation
- Social media marketing
- Analytics for tracking and measurement
- Enquiries and lead conversion
- Personal and professional skills
- Employment support including techniques for job applications and mock interviews.

In addition to highly experienced lecturers, the bootcamps will also feature guest speakers, group exercises and a blended delivery model to provide maximum flexibility for combining learning with other recognised commitments.
This bootcamp is for adults requiring new and additional skills to embark on a career in marketing or business development.
The first bootcamp runs between Monday 23 August - Friday 12 November. There are a limited amount of spaces and demand is expected to be high, so please register immediately to maximise your chances of being accepted onto this programme.
Who can apply?
This bootcamp is funded through the West of England Combined Authority’s Digital Skills Investment Programme. This fund is designed to benefit groups who have been disproportionately affected by COVID or are underrepresented in the industry.
By targeting specific groups we aim to deliver inclusive opportunities for WECA residents to progress in digital careers. For this reason we particularly welcome applications from ethnic minorities, females, individuals with disabilities and all other under-represented groups.
Applicants must be Adults aged 19+ residing in Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol or South Gloucestershire.

The single biggest thing we’re looking for is for candidates to possess the desire, commitment and interest in Digital Marketing. If you can demonstrate these attributes we want to speak with you.

How much will it cost me?
All Digital Marketing Bootcamps are funded by the West of England Combined Authority and therefore there is no charge.
Do you guarantee a job in Digital Marketing at the end of this bootcamp?
We can’t guarantee this, however, we significantly enhance your job prospects with employer engagement throughout the programme. You'll have regular contact with employers and we'll support your path to employment through mock interviews, assistance with applications and mentorship.
Our objective is to deliver employment outcomes for you on the completion of this programme. Digital Marketing is one of the most sought after skillsets in our region, so there’s a lot of demand for people with the skills that you’ll be learning.
What will I learn?
You'll learn a small but necessary amount of marketing theory prior to the core digital marketing content. The core content will be very practical and hands on in its approach reflecting actual digital marketing requirements from employers. Please check the full schedule for more details.
How will the teaching be delivered?
You'll be taught through a combination of face to face and online teaching. There are five and a half hours of content per day of which four hours is face to face and the rest is online.
Who will be teaching me?
We’re delivering the bootcamp as a group of partners leveraging the expertise and experience across the partnership.
For example, Bath Spa University has one of the leading business schools in the UK and will provide the majority of marketing content whereas Bath College are experts in delivering adult education so will provide employability skills content. This approach ensures participants receive expert tuition and we can provide the diversity of content scheduled within this bootcamp.
Will I be assessed?
There are no formal assessments for this bootcamp. Its primary objective is to deliver an employment outcome.
