About the seminar

Pedagogical creativity of the schoolteacher is an integral personal and professional quality comprising abilities for: pedagogical creativity, giving original solutions to pedagogical problems and, active engaging with innovative learning technologies. The age characteristics of young students and the specifics of teaching subjects in schools need to be considered. In our seminar we present pedagogical creativity as an essential quality of the teacher. It is important to enrich the content of the preparation of future primary school teachers through drawing on their own life experiences and including students in professional learning activities. Some theoretical and practical aspects of pre- service teachers’ pedagogical creativity formation will be discussed.

About the speakers

Dr Oksana Marchuk is a Doctor of Sciences and Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy, Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities (IUEH), Ukraine. She has 20 years of pedagogical experience. Oksana’s research interests are the history of pedagogy, practical aspects of pedagogical creativity formation and the theory and practice of vocational education. She organises events where students demonstrate their creativity.

Dr Margaryta Shkabarina is Associate Professor at the Department of Theory and Methodology of Primary Education. Margaryta's interests include the theory of creativity development, innovative learning technologies and the specifics of professional education in Ukraine. She lectures on the course ‘Pedagogical creativity of future teachers’ and has numerous publications in this field.
