Hopeful Futures: Exploring the future of creative technology

Hopeful Futures is a two-day event exploring the future of creative technology in Bath and Bristol. The event is run by Bristol + Bath Creative R+D; a £6.8 million, five-year long collaboration that aims to raise the bar for the region’s creative industries. The team is comprised of the universities of UWE Bristol, Bath, Bath Spa, and Bristol, and Bristol-based cultural organisation, Watershed.
This creative community is joining together to answer the question: What's the future of creative tech for our cities?
Together with artists, technologists, academics and producers the day will explore and imagine our collective futures, discuss how to build more equitable economies and consider how we can really understand our audiences.
From VR and app development; to immersive installations and unique soundscapes; the ideas emerging from Bristol + Bath Creative R+D are imbued with culture, compassion and courageous thinking.
