Applicant visit days

Experience Bath Spa University for yourself at an Applicant Visit Day.

Due to current concerns regarding COVID-19 and attendance at large events and gatherings, we have taken the decision not to proceed with applicant visits scheduled for March and April. We know you'll understand why have done this and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.

We remain absolutely committed to supporting your decision-making as you select a University, and are currently exploring the ways in which we can offer you alternative opportunities to find out about us. Thank you for bearing with us while we find ways to continue to offer you the chance to find out everything you need to know about us.

If you have any further queries or concerns about any of this information or our plans for your digital visit, please get in touch:

What are Applicant Visit Days?

Applicant Visit Days are invitation-only events taking place between December and April, which are open to applicants who hold a conditional offer from us.

AVDs give you the chance to get beneath the surface of Bath Spa University and experience everything that makes us special. And – if you sign up to have an interview – you'll also have the opportunity to change your conditional offer to a guaranteed place.

Once you've received your conditional offer from us, we'll email you with all the information you need to book onto an Applicant Visit Day and sign up for an interview. If you've had your conditional offer but not your invitation email, please check your junk mail folder (just in case) and if it's still missing, please email

Book your place

I've booked an AVD. Can I swap it for another day?

Yes – providing that there are spaces available on your preferred date. You can amend your booking using the online system you used to book the interview, or by emailing

I’ve already been to an Open Day. Should I attend an AVD?

You don’t have to visit us again, but lots of our applicants find a second visit helpful. It can help you make up your mind about which university to choose. You’ll be able to ask questions, learn more about the course you want to study, see the facilities and meet the staff and current students.

Will representatives from Student Wellbeing Services be there?

Yes – the Student Wellbeing Services team will deliver a talk. Alternatively, if you have any issues you wish to talk about in confidence before visiting, please call +44 (0)1225 876543 to arrange private appointment or a general chat. You can also email

Can I come to an AVD if I've applied for a creative or performing arts course?

If you've applied for a creative or performing arts course, we'll invite you to attend a portfolio interview or audition, at which you'll be considered for a guaranteed place.

Am I required to sign up for an interview?

Interviews aren't required. If you don't sign up for an interview, you'll still keep your conditional offer of a place at Bath Spa University, but if you do book an interview, you'll have the chance to change your conditional offer to a guaranteed place.

Can I book an interview on the day, when I arrive on campus?

This might be possible but will depend on availability. We strongly recommend you book your interview in advance to avoid disappointment, and so that you have enough time to prepare.

I've booked an interview but I'd like to change the time. Is this possible?

Yes – providing that there are spaces available on your preferred date. You can amend your booking using the online system you used to book the interview, or by emailing
