Teacher education events

Interested in becoming a teacher? We regularly hold events where you can find out more.

Upcoming events

  • Teacher Education Information Evening – 14 May 2020
  • Teacher Education Information Evening – 25 June 2020

Due to current concerns regarding COVID-19 and attendance at large events and gatherings, we have taken the decision not to proceed with events and visits scheduled for March and April (including the Teacher Education Information Evening on 2 April and the Taste of Teaching Event on 25 April).

We know you'll understand why have done this and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Currently, events in May and June are still open for bookings, but this may change in the future. We'll update you by email if an event you've booked is changed or cancelled.

If you have any questions, please get in touch: opendays@bathspa.ac.uk.

Why attend?

Attending one of our events will enable you to:

  • Get advice on becoming a teacher and the different training routes available
  • Learn what qualifications you need and how to apply
  • Hear about the interview process, with advice on how to prepare
  • Learn about the financial support available.

Can I bring other people with me?

Friends and family are welcome to come with you, however, we request that you bring no more than two extra people with you unless they are also interested in becoming a teacher.

Will I be able to meet with academic staff?

There will be various members of education staff at these events who will be available to answer your questions.
