Find out more about becoming a teacher at one of our teacher education information events:

Attending one of our events will enable you to:

  • Get advice on becoming a teacher and the different training routes available
  • Learn what qualifications you need and how to apply
  • Hear about the interview process with advice on how to prepare
  • Learn about the financial support available.

Regional primary teaching events

Find out more about training to teach on one of our joint primary PGCE programmes in West Somerset or Bristol:

  • Thursday 4 April 2019 - West Somerset Cluster Information Session from 6 to 7.30pm at Danesfield Church of England School, Taunton
  • Thursday 25 April 2019 - E-ACT Cluster Information Session from 5.30 to 7.30pm at Hareclive E-ACT Academy, Bristol

On our new joint PGCE Primary and Early Years programmes, you could study closer-to-home - and receive a bursary of up to £1500. You’ll be able to visit the school and meet members of staff from both Bath Spa University and the school.

Can I bring other people with me?

Friends and family are welcome to come with you, however, we request that you bring no more than two extra people with you unless they are also interested in becoming a teacher.

Will I be able to meet with academic staff?

There will be various members of education staff at these events who will be available to answer your questions.
