We Are The People will be hosting a Festival of Inclusion, Disability and Community Action on Monday 5th-Saturday 10th September, as part of the annual Corsham Street Fair.

For our festival, we will host a series of workshops, exhibitions, and performances throughout the day, ending with a panel discussion of disabled activists, artists and community members to discuss issues, research possibilities, hopes, fears and further action for our communities. 

All activities are run as free drop-in sessions, except for the Luncheon Club on Wednesday 7th September

Telepresence Robot Visit to the Museum of Making in Derby

Springfield Community Centre, 11:00 AM-3:00 PM, Wednesday 7 September

Ever imagined being a robot? Now is your chance! You will have the chance to partner up with your ‘robot double’ 160 miles away in Derby! Make contact through our computer and move the robot around the wonderful Museum of Making,  exploring the exhibitions and working spaces without having to move out of your seat!

Natural Theatre flash mob workshop

Elite Ladies Kick-boxing taster

Ever thought of giving a martial art a try but scared you were not fit or focused enough? ELK’s instructors will help develop your skills at your own pace and to your ability and fitness level. Boot-camp taster with Laura Kent PT

Springfield outdoor gym, 9:30am – 10:30am, Friday 9 September

Join our artists Katy Hoste and Hannah Southfield to get creative and share ‘what does including everybody mean to you’. Add your mark and ideas to the graffiti wall! 

Yoga Magic: Accessible Yoga

Join Yoga Magic for 20 minute free classes that are welcoming, inclusive and supportive for all ages. 

Flash mob with Natural Theatre

Outside Corsham Bookshop, 1:00-1:15 PM, Saturday 10 September

A performance of joyful disruption with Natural Theatre. Expect the unexpected, as the visually arresting flash mob hits the streets of Corsham.
