Fine Art graduate exhibits work at No Format Gallery

Bath Spa University graduate Steve Burden will open his fourth solo show 'Made from Deptford' next month.

Steve who studied an MA Fine Art at Bath Spa University, will share his paintings with the public from 15 - 17 February at No Format Gallery in Deptford.

His paintings investigate dystopian themes and ideas associated with British housing estates. Steve who was born in Greenwich, London, was inspired by his own experiences growing up on the Pepys Estate. He wanted to explore the social issues arising from the creation of this estate - security, isolation and control, as well as its design, architecture and history.

'Made from Deptford' will examine the estates past, present and future through a selection of several works that include painting and three-dimensional elements.
