Personal statement
Chris graduated with a degree in Technical Theatre from RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Art) in 2002.
He has worked in the Technical Theatre industry for nineteen years in a variety of areas and roles, at venues such as the Criterion Theatre – West End, Polka Theatre – Wimbledon and Theatre Royal – Bath.
Alongside this, he has taught at the University of Kent, Anglia Ruskin University, and the University of the West of England in Technical Theatre.
He engages regularly in lighting design, production electrician and programmer work for the theatre and live events industry.
Chris is researching into digital theatre - looking at immersive technologies with VR and AR technology -this is being conducted with 'Taking Flight' Theatre Company to also address accessibility issues within the arts, and how these can be addressed through online platforms.
Chris teaches on Bath Spa's Theatre, Festival and Events Production programme.
