Jeff is a Learning Technologist and Senior Lecturer in Music. He joined Bath Spa in October 2012, having previously worked at Bluffton University, Otterbein University, and William Penn University (all in the USA).
Jeff serves as a Learning Technologist for the College of Liberal Arts, teaches Music Composition, and conducts the Wind Band and Chamber Winds. His research is in two areas: learning technologies and music composition.
His learning technologies research currently focuses on utilising mobile technologies in the performance classroom. He seeks to find ways to help students engage with their own learning to empower them towards greater creative and performative understandings through self-assessment.
As a composer, he his multifaceted, but writes mostly for the trumpet, focusing particularly on trumpet and electronic accompaniments. He has also written for chamber ensembles, jazz / big bands, and marching bands.
