MyWorld Scholarship – Bath Spa University

Up to £5,000 for home fee-paying students linked to the creative technologies industry.

The MyWorld Scholarship supports home (UK) fee-paying students who are from underrepresented groups in higher education to access taught postgraduate study linked to the creative technologies industry.

Awards of up to £5,000 (pro-rata for the amount of credit they are studying) are available in 2024/2025 and will be paid against the student’s tuition fees for a taught postgraduate degree programme as a fee reduction/waiver.

About the award

  • Successful applicants will need to be enrolled and engage in a taught postgraduate programme, studying either part-time or full-time.
  • The programme of study must be linked to the creative technologies industry and be offered at Bath Spa University.
  • The scholarship will only apply for 2024/25, irrespective of the duration of the course.
  • Successful awardees undertaking a two-year part-time postgraduate programme are welcome to reapply each year of their study for the scholarship but they will be assessed in the same way as everyone else applying in that year of study (academic year 2024/25).

Criteria

You can apply for this scholarship if you:

  • Are eligible for home (UK) tuition fees
  • Are from a group underrepresented in higher education (see terms and conditions)
  • Hold an offer to study a postgraduate course (or for a part thereof, such as micro credentials) which is linked to the creative technologies industry at Bath Spa University during the 2024/2025 academic year. Please note that we will consider applicants from any course related to gaining employment within the creative technologies industry, but priority will be given to those on courses most closely aligned to the MyWorld programme aims and objectives. Please see the list of courses which will be prioritised in terms and conditions
  • Intend to gain employment in the creative technologies industry following completion of academic study
  • Meet the terms and conditions of your academic offer and meet any other conditions required by the University in which you will be studying.

How to apply

To apply for this scholarship, please complete the MyWorld Scholarship application form. Before you can apply, you must already hold an offer of study starting in the academic year 2023/24.
